Better Your Vodka

“A man walks into a bar and the bar man says I’ve got something for you…” This is the dream of many and the life of some. Apparently I am now part of the “Some” *Punches air Tom Cruise style*.

One of my favourite cocktail bars in Soho are now so used to me that they introduce me to new drinks upon arrival and a couple of months ago whilst chopping it up with the bar man he said I’ve got the very last of something that I know you’ll like. So he reached to the top shelf behind him and picks up a black bottle that looks similar to an olive oil bottle with a beautiful design on the front. He the takes the cork out of this bottle and says to me “This vodka will blow your mind” as he pours the contents into a sherry glass and the takes a flame to a vanilla pod and places it in the vodka. Right now I’m excited, who serves Vodka in such a manner? Surely this is meant to be a shot? So I take a shot whilst he stares at me like a Frankenstein awaiting his creations first words, and with that first sip the love affair begins.

Now you’ve probably heard me speak of what I like to call rapper Vodkas with disdain and contempt in the past, and to be honest the biggest problem with such Vodkas is that they are made in America for the party scene and people with very little taste or care for the taste of what they are drinking. Well since starting my love affair with the beautiful Vodka that is Sauvelle they have decided to branch out into the nightlife and have created a bottle for people who like to be seen and want everyone to know what they are drinking. So with this they have followed in the footsteps of the likes of Dom Perignon and come up with a bottle where the logo glows at the touch of a button. Thankfully this has done nothing to the contents of the bottle and has also given me another reason to spark up conversation in a club when I should be dancing with my hands in the air. That’s right I am the guy at the bar scoffing at you when you order some subpar libation who advises you on a much better product.

Why is Sauvelle a much better product than what an American rapper has told you to dance with in your hands to let people know your social status? Because it simply is! It tastes vbetter, it’s made better and it doesn’t use artificial ingredients, which is better for you. To be honest I don’t even like to put it in cocktails as it’s natural taste is good enough on it’s own so I would suggest that you drink it just how I did that first time or with a broken fruit, maybe a berry of your choice or a slice of peach.
