Thailand is arguably the best place in the world to enjoy fine cuisine. Everyone that you speak to about the paradise that is Thailand makes mention of the fine tailoring at amazing prices and the exquisite food on offer. Now if you can’t get yourself to Thailand then your next best bet would be to put on a good suit and get down to one of Patara’s restaurants.

The chain of restaurants opened their latest restaurant on Hampstead High Street on Friday 13th May (see good things can happen on Friday 13th) offering a menu of fine Thai cuisine that will honestly excite your taste buds and make you feel like you are actually in Thailand.

Intimately set out across two floors on beautiful Hampstead High St, from the moment you walk through the doors and you are greeted by the welcoming staff and warm ambience of the wine rack over looking the first of the 4 dining areas you aware that you have made the right dining choice.

All of the food is handmade in the open kitchen on the ground floor by the expert Thai chefs who are all trained in Thailand so you can rest assured that your dining experience will be authentic, and we challenge you to not stand and watch them in awe has they carefully handcraft the dumplings.

As much as we’d love to single out a few items from the menu for you to try, we just can’t and we suggest you either go for the Patara Banquet both the meat/fish and vegetarian menu’s. Once you have finished with those make sure to return and enjoy the main menu. But if you must go the once make sure to not miss the Chicken & Prawn Satay, Kanom Jeeb which are Prawn-Pork dumplings with Salmon Roe and Caviar.
